Our Story
It started with a swipe right—from there, our journey has been filled with laughter, love, and countless adventures. Whether we’re exploring mountaintops together, relaxing on beaches, or discovering hidden gems, we’ve embraced every moment of growing together and tackling life hand in hand. We’re so excited to start this next chapter of our lives and can’t wait to celebrate this special moment with all of you—our family, friends, and loved ones.
The Celebrations
We will be celebrating our marriage with two ceremonies: a traditional East Indian Sikh ceremony at a Gurdwara, a Sikh Temple on the morning of July 12th, followed by a Western-style ceremony and reception party on the afternoon of July 13th. See below for more details.

Sikh Wedding Ceremony
Date: Saturday, July 12th, 2025
Time: Tea & Snacks 9:30 AM
Ceremony starts at 11 AM

Please note:

All guests are required to wear a head covering while inside the Gurdwara. Women are encouraged to bring a scarf, shawl, or chunni. Rumals (handkerchiefs) will be available at the entrance for anyone who needs one.

No smoking or drinking on temple property.

Light snacks will be served in the morning, followed by a delicious lunch after the ceremony.

Attire: Semi-Formal (Conservative) or traditional Indian clothing is encouraged.

Our first wedding celebration the morning of July 12th, will honor the rich and vibrant traditions of an East Indian Sikh Wedding Ceremony. It will be a beautiful blend of cultural rituals, spiritual blessings, and a deep sense of family and community, creating an experience that is both sacred and joyous.
The ceremony will take place in a Gurdwara, a Sikh Temple, surrounded by loved ones, as we seek the blessings of the divine through meaningful prayers and hymns from the Sikh Holy Book, the Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Expect to see traditional attire, with the groom dressed in an elegant sherwani and turban, and the bride adorned in a stunning, intricate lehenga or sari, complete with traditional jewelry.
In the morning, before the ceremony, light traditional Indian snacks will be served. Following the sacred Anand Karaj ceremony, a delicious lunch featuring flavorful East Indian dishes will be provided.
We are excited to share this meaningful and culturally rich day with family, friends, and everyone who is part of our journey.
Western Ceremony & Reception (Adults only, RSVP below)

Time: Guests Arrive 4:30 PM

Our second wedding celebration will take place on the afternoon of July 13th and will feature a traditional Western-style wedding ceremony, followed by a festive dinner reception at Newlands Golf and Country Club. This special day will embody elegance and romance, set against the picturesque backdrop of lush greens and beautifully manicured grounds.
The Western ceremony will be held outdoors, weather permitting. Surrounded by loved ones, we will exchange heartfelt vows, marking the beginning of our shared life together in a setting filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments.
Following the ceremony, guests will be invited to join us for a cocktail hour, where drinks and appetizers will be served, allowing everyone to mingle and enjoy the serene ambiance of the golf course. As the evening unfolds, a formal dinner reception will take place in the elegant banquet hall, featuring a delicious meal and a selection of beverages. The reception will include speeches, a lively dance floor, and a celebration filled with joy and merriment as we toast to our new beginning.
